I'm originally from America, and ‘home base’ these days is Brisbane, Australia... but
for me, home has never been a geographical point on a political map.
I come from a theatrical background so drama often plays a role in my images...
whether it's lighting or gesture or graphic elements... But it's always about telling a
story.
Tom Waits once described bassist Les Claypool as having an "elastic, rubberized,
plasticene approach" to his instrument... I like that.
I truly believe that more people are seeking truth in beauty, connection and
commonalities than their opposites. I love making images that offer viewers a
chance to explore something deeper within themselves.
Be different... Not just better.
